Ground. Grow. Two words that are vital to my existence. The patience to ground myself takes a consistent effort and continual awareness. Perhaps that is why I love to paint because every time I go to my canvas I find my foundation- my safe space where I allow myself to grow. Grow. A word that comes from my insatiable curiosity to experience life. And in so doing once and awhile I get in those spaces of discomfort that essentially force me to move forward or backward... I choose forward movement today. Growing up with parents that were Iowa farm kids it seems I remember everything being green as a kid. This palette is that of green hues- today I am choosing to ground and grow in the same breath. And I am in love with white rananculus these days- their sense of purity and quiet conviction resonates with me.
